FUTURE FIELD OF OUR PROJECT

This device can interact with people through infrared sensor devices and mobile APP. The interactive way is to resonate and have fun by switching between movies. The venue is selected on the second floor of the Tate Gallery. As Tate Modern is one of the best museun in UK. Some devices will be placed inside to make people overwhelmed. People can also download the data of our device for DIY production, so that people can experience the fun of pre-made technology.

This project will pay more attention to the construction process in the future implementation process. Since the data during construction is very important, we will record all the data and update it online. Although prefabricated technology is not the latest technology at present, it is still a very interesting experience to be able to use it on the device. On the other hand, the system could be develop more. The devices in the system can be freely combined into a large exhibition or a small conference.
Since the previous projects are all about prefabrication technology, I may working in this area in the future. I have had one year of relevant work experience before and I think prefabrication technology is very interesting.

THE DEVELOPMENT OF OUR DESIGN

Our project is to creat a 4D exhibition which could interactive with people to grab attention in the films. Mainly, the design methodology will based on data analysis of site. As the site of this project is on the second floor of Tate Modern, it is an open space for all the people in this museum. It is very important to analyze the flow of people and combine with design works. Secondly, proper layout adjustment needs to be made in accordance with the site topography. The placement of the device also affects the effect of the exhibition. It is necessary to find the perfect angle and position to get the most perfect effect.

The device will be modeled in the software then adjust the data and shape. After the model is completed, it will be split into complete parts for preparation. The process will be controlled by the software, the data will be very accurate, and the final installation process is also tested in the software. In other words, the whole production and installation process can be simulated and detected by the software.

CASE STUDY OF OUR PROJECT

This is a deployable bamboo structure pavilion called PORTAL DE PARATY in Brazil by Bambutec Design . The Pavilion is located on the banks of the Perequê-Açu River in the city of Paraty, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Pavilion is a mobile self-supporting bamboo structure self-stressed by acrylic membranes and textile flexible joints. In the modular structure system, the roof span is 15×23 meters. This pavilion was used prefabricated skills. Calculate various data and build models in the software, and then quickly build them to avoid errors and reduce the loss rate of materials. The pavilion aims to immerse people could enjoy the culture life of Paraty. The designer also want to tell people how beautiful this place is.

The field of our project is prefabrication. It affects to anuncomplicated transportation, effective samlingsproces, rational dismantling and transfer. This technology allows parts to be machined offsite and then installed on the plan site. He can form a complete system, all processes are controllable and can be intuitively displayed on the software.

DESIGN PROPOSAL

Since global warming has a huge impact on the environment, many environmental problems such as forest fires and melting glaciers are happening. More and more species are on the verge of extinction, sea levels are beginning to rise, and land area is decreasing. People should realize the importance of protecting the environment. The film is talking about these problems, it will be played on the screen of our device.
The system include an interesting device, film, projector and projector box. Some light materials are used on this device so that it is easy to transport and install. People can watch videos and switch videos by interacting with the device. At the same time, they can also use the APP to interact more on the phone.

Key technological outcomes of proposal

Due to the limitation of time and machine ability, there must be the solution to reasonable planning model and testing.
The materials of the device should be sustainable and easy for transport.
The interior planning of the site should take into the flow of people and the characteristics of the museum.

THE CHALLENGE OF OUR PROJECT

The challenge of the project is to creat a system which can be used in different space. It should be easy to install , remove and carry.Considering the relationship between devices and people, this systerm allow more than one ways to make the space reasonable.

This systerm include screen, projectors and films. Switch videos through people’s interaction with the screen.

1 Plan the order of construction method, collect construction technical data and plan process.

2 Collect site information, plan space and traffic flow.

3 Collect video materials, analyze data for integration.

RESEARCH OF OUR FINAL PROJECT

In order to make people more aware of the some environmental changes caused by global warming and other issues. This project explores the relationship and meaning of man and nature and more detailedly depicts the smallness of human beings when extreme environmental problems occur.

The research mainly focus on the interaction between human and the environment in exhibition space. The screen has become the point of this project. It is not only a tool for playing video but also for interacting with people.

KILLER IMAGES

This week we had the review of killer images. We showed our best images to owain and also these images are close to our final project outcome. I am responsiable for the concept drawings and the film. So my killer images are all these things. Besides, I also have the images about our device.

This image are the rendering picture of our device. And also I make a model in the sketchup and then render it in the software. But I will develop this picture in the next step.

The review and the report

This week we had our review with owain and guests. We introduced our project and showed the film. Our film have different parts. For the first part is talking about the last project’s site and the second part is talking about the film of environment. The last part is talking about the concept of our final project. But the film is not good so we decided to develop it for the next step.

And for the report , we put our draft to the one drive so that our tutor could see it. The report is quiet diffcult for me because I have never write it before. So I will try my best to finish this .

This week , we had our website review and I have analysis three website plarforms in order to find the most reasonable platfrom for our project.

This is the sketch of our website. I draw by myself. It can be seen from this sketch that we will design two interfaces, a mobile interface and a computer interface.

OUTCOME PROPOSAL

This week we had our outcome proposal with tutor. We choose a site for our final project. And also showed some images of our last project. For our final project , we decided to develop something from our last project. Since three of us are interested in prefabrication, we will still focus on it.

We think that the prefabrication skill can not only used on buildings but also can use on the devices. It just like if you want to make a chair, you can first split the chair into pieces, make them in the wood workshop, and then install them. This chair will be easy to transport and disassemble. This is the advantage of prefabrication. So what we gonna do for the next step is we want to creat a system which could show our opinion of the environmental protection. And this system can be applied to many places such as museum and market.
