This week is the first week of our final project. Lucy gave us some details about the final project. It must be linked with our last project. Also I found that we should make a report individual. This report is talking about your final project and what you have done in cluster. I have a meeting with my cluster during this week and we talked about what we will do in our final project. Since last project we did a system which can use in the market to spread the concept of environmental protection, and there is a projector box used prefab skills. We decided to develop this system which can also be used in the museum.

This week we need to make a personal portfolio. Our team shared pictures to each other. At the same time, we also need to submit a self-made film. So I also spend a lot of time editing my video.
In the process of making this portfolio, I also learned a lot of knowledge that I did not understand before. In terms of typesetting, I learned how to combine pictures and text to look better.

This week we had our final project review. Our project’s name is called the Project Inception.

Our team chose Borough market as the site for our project. Borough market is a food wholesale and retail market in South wark, London. borough market is the largest and oldest food market in London, selling a variety of foods from all over the world.
Since the current greenhouse effect has severely affected our environment, we decided to place our designed devices in this market. This device can project the screen to a lower position to attract children and people who bow down to play mobile phones.
Similarly, we also produced environmentally friendly movies and put them on our screens. We designed a portable projector box for our venue. In this way, our device will become a system that can be arbitrarily placed in different venues, not only in the market, but also in museums and shopping centers.

This week we uploaded the final paper and on Friday we had our Thesis review with JJ. He is so nice and patiently. I talked about the paper recently I have read and then introduced two projects I done last year. I introduced the materials and techniques used in these two projects, and I have learned a lot through these two projects.

In my projects, I usually like to use sustainable materials to make models. Before I make models, I will first model and test them on the computer. I will also use many different software to improve my work. I can use Adobe premiere to edit my video and audio. And I think the most important thing is teamwork. The help of friends is definitely a crucial part of my project.

This week we had our final tutoril with Lucy. We reported on the progress of the recent project. In this project, I am mainly responsible for the production and editing of videos, as well as the inspiration for the previous design. Our film is mainly about the current greenhouse effect, and our environment has been subjected to severe examinations. Although people now spend a lot of energy and money to protect the environment, there are still many situations that cannot be reversed. Many wild animals are on the verge of extinction, the weather is getting worse, the temperature is getting higher and higher, and forest fires are threatening us. We must do something to bring beautiful nature back .

This movie is composed of three parts, the plan site view , the short film and other plan in museum and shopping mall.

This week I had my thesis review with my tutor. She gave me many notes of my thesis. My thesis is talking about the prefabrication and my titel is The development trend of prefabrication in the future design in the global world.

Nowadays, many buildings are made of prefabrication. Prefabrication buildings are always save time, save money and sustainable. There are also many sofeware for people to make model in the computer. The most popular software is the Revit. I have use this software for one year and I think it is very useful and smart. Also I have worked with BIM technology for one year so I am very interested in this field.

This week we had a tutorial with Lucy. We reported what we did during the easter break. Since last time we had an review with Owain and guests, they gave us lots of advice. We reported these to the teacher, and she also gave us many related suggestions. She gave us some related cases, let us do it for reference.

This is one of our study casies. In this new body of work, Oursler returns to the deceptively simple device that made him famous whereby he constructs an elaborate installation of comically ghoulish faces projected onto amorphous convex sculptures. Disembodied, mismatching bloodshot eyes, fat lips and snaggled teeth whisper and exclaim like bulbous poltergeists while conspicuously absent noses accentuate the grotesque overall impact of these oddly endearing creatures. Eyes blink and swivel; mouths frown, smile and pucker while uttering barely audible words through nearby speakers. Listen closely and you may hear one face complain, “You treat me like garbage. I told you I love you but I don’t. Thanks for nothing” while another bug- eyed male tries to fend off anxiety by muttering to himself, “You’ve been making new friends—reward yourself with a smile”.

Our first project review was on April 1. We reported our project to teachers and guests. Our venue for this project is set in the Borough market.Borough market is a food wholesale and retail market in South wark, London. borough market is the largest and oldest food market in London, selling a variety of foods from all over the world.

By analyzing and comparing the customers in this market, we believe that we can place many screens and put our movies in this venue. This can attract many customers to stop and watch. Our films are more educational, and many parents with children will be happy to see such films.

Our second review was on March 23. During that week we discussed with the instructor about the further planning of our project, we determined the venue and the final concept. We are going to play a movie about environmental protection in our venue, of course we made it ourselves. We also discussed about the form and material of the screen, but because our research is not perfect enough, we are ready to continue our efforts next week and make the general content of the movie. In our group, I am responsible for the editing and production of movies.

Our project refers to the concept of the Qingming Festival. This picture describe the market in ancient China. We believed that market need more and more people to come. So we also can use the film to attract people’s attention.

I am preparing my draft thesis during this time, and my thesis is studying prefabrication. My title is The development trend of prefabrication in the future design in the global world. And also I have read many articals and paper. There are lots of useful information for me . In my thesis, I will compare various cases and analyze the data to draw an objective conclusion.
